Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program EXHIBIT B <br />Page 22 of 26 <br />ATTY/RESO.0042/CC RESO CALIFORNIA WAY WATER TANK, PUMP STATION AND PIPELINE PROJECT <br />REV: 05-03-17 PR df <br />Impact HAZ-1: The use or <br />accidental release of <br />hazardous materials at the <br />project site could expose the <br />public or environment to <br />significant hazards. <br />Mitigation Measure HAZ-1: The <br />following measures, as listed in the <br />ProTech Consulting & Engineering report <br />titled Pre-Demolition/Renovation Asbestos <br />& Lead Survey & Evaluation, shall be <br />implemented during demolition activities <br />associated with the existing pump station: <br />• Prior to demolition, the loose and <br />peeling exterior Lead Based Paint shall <br />be removed from the pump station <br />building with the remaining paint <br />stabilized. <br />• The impact of lead to the demolition <br />project should be minimal; however, <br />Cal OSHA worker protection rules, <br />California Department of Public Health <br />certification requirements, US EPA <br />standards, and Department of Toxic <br />Substance Control disposal <br />requirements need to be assessed by <br />each contractor/employer who performs <br />work on this project. <br />• Any work performed at the site where <br />Lead Based Paint or Lead Containing <br />Paint is likely to be disturbed should be <br />performed by a contractor trained and <br />qualified to perform lead-related <br />construction work.
