change in duties or responsibilities of such position, and there <br />is no change in the incumbent of the position so re -allocated <br />and the maximum salary provided for the position as re -allocated <br />is less than the salary received by the incumbent prior to <br />re -allocation, then said incumbent shall continue to be compensated <br />at the rate paid said incumbent prior to such allocation. <br />SECTION 5. Ordinance No. 1782, entitled "Ordinance <br />Establishing Salary and Wage Plan for Certain Employee Classifica- <br />tions Relating to Management and Confidential Assignments, and <br />Certain Designated Officers; and Repealing Ordinance No. 1713, <br />All Amendments Thereto, and All Ordinances in Conflict Therewith," <br />adopted May 21, 1979, and any and all ordinances, or parts thereof, <br />including, but not limited to, ordinances amendatory of Ordinance <br />No. 1732, in conflict with the provisions hereof, are hereby <br />repealed to the extent of such conflict only. <br />SECTION 6. This ordinance shall be effective 30 days after <br />its adoption; provided however, that the provisions hereof shall <br />be operative retroactively to and including January 1, 1980. <br />-4- <br />
