<br />compensation shall not be included in computations for overtime <br />or other pay differentials. <br />(b) For the purposes of this section night shift shall be <br />considered to be any duty shift commencing during the hours of <br />3:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. <br />SECTION 5. Each employee of the Police Department who is <br />required to operate a motorcycle shall receive additional <br />compensation in an amount equal to 5% of his basic monthly <br />salary for each month during which motorcycle duty is performed <br />by such employee. <br />SECTION 6. Each employee of the Police Department of the <br />rank of police sergeant or below who is assigned to the In- <br />vestigation Division shall receive additional compensation in <br />an amount equal to 6.5% of his basic monthly salary for each <br />month during the period he is so assigned; provided, however, <br />that each such employee shall not be credited with the uniform <br />maintenance allowance provided under Section 4 of Rule VI of <br />the Personnel Rules and Regulations of the City of Redwood City <br />during the period of such assignment. <br />SECTION 7. The provisions of the foregoing Sections of <br />this Ordinance to the contrary notwithstanding, if a position <br />allocated to a given class in the competitive service is re- <br />allocated to a different class in order to correct an error or <br />to provide for a change in duties or responsibilities of such <br />position, and there is no change in the incumbent of the position <br />so reallocated, and the maximum salary provided for the position <br />as reallocated is less than the salary received by the incumbent <br />prior to reallocation, then said incumbent shall continue to <br />be compensated at the rate paid said incumbent prior to such <br />allocation. <br />SECTION 8.
