t ; CGM:bc:6/27/79 .It . ... ) ORIGINAL JUl 1 ß 1919 ORDINANCE NO. 1791 -------- ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2.15 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO REIMBURSEMENTS OF TRANSPORTATION EXPENSES INCURRED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF DUTIES THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 2.15 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 2.15. Transportation expenses shall be computed as follows: " (a) Actual costs to and from destination not to exceed a maximum computed at seventeen cents ($0.17) per mile for miles traveled both within and outside the city by carrier service, including any privately-owned conveyance; provided, however, that for travel to and from destination in excess of three hundred (300) miles said maximum shall not exceed actual air coach fare when such fare is less than the amount computed at the aforesaid rates. For the purposes of this subsection, the actual cost for miles, actually traveled by privately owned conveyance, including costs of fuel, maintenance, repairs, insurance and deprecia- tion, shall be deemed equal to the maximum allowance provided for in this subsection. " (b) Any employee of the city who is required to keep available a privately-owned vehicle for use in traveling on city business during his working days as a condition of employment shall be allowed, as determined by the city manager, either: " (1) An amount equal to estimated actual costs, including costs of fuel, maintenance, repairs, insurance and depreciation, which amount shall not exceed 90 percent of the monthly rental charge for City passenger cars as paid to the equipment rental fund; or " (2) The amount of seven cents (0.07) per mile for each mile actually traveled on city business plus sixty dollars ($60.00) per month, which amounts shall be in lieu of all other compensa- tion for costs of fuel, maintenance, repairs, insurance and depreciation."
