<br />chapter in the City of Redwood City. The Director of <br />the San Mateo County Department of Public Health and <br />Welfare and his designated representatives in said <br />Environmental Health Section shall be referred to herein- <br />after as the 'Health Officer'. <br /> "Section 13.3. Rules and Regulations. The Health <br />Officer is hereby empowered to adopt and enforce reasonable <br />rules and regulations for the interpretation and administra- <br />tion of the provisions of this chapter, subject to the <br />approval thereof by the Redwood City Council. The Health <br />Officer shall, at least sixty (60) days prior to the effective <br />date of any rule or regulation proposed subsequent to the <br />effective date of this section, publish at least once in <br />a local newspaper of general circulation in the City of <br />Redwood City a copy of the proposed rule or regulation, <br />inviting public response thereto. <br /> "Section 13.4. Violations and Penalties. Any person <br />violating any provision of this chapter or any amendment <br />thereto, or violating any permit, or any provision thereof <br />or any of the rules and regulations promulgated pursuant <br />thereto shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and each <br />such person shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense <br />for each and every day or portion thereof during which any <br />violation of any of the provisions of such chapter, <br />amendments, permits, rules or regulations or provisions <br />thereof is committe, continued or permitted, and upon con- <br />viction of any such violation, such person shall be punishable <br />by a fine of not more than $500 or by imprisonment for <br />not more than six months, or by both such fine and <br />imprisonment. <br /> -2- <br /> ...'.~..." <br />
