Page 5 of 15 <br />REV: 05-01-17 JS <br />ATTY/ORD.444/COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, POLICE, AND FIRE FEES <br />Exhibit B <br />[Amendments to Chapter 4 of the Redwood City Code] <br /> <br />[Sec. 4.17. - APPLICATION FOR PERMIT—FILING WITH CHIEF OF POLICE; FORM <br />AND CONTENTS; FEE TO ACCOMPANY:] <br />A. Applications for permission to conduct a public dance shall be filed with the Chief of Police on <br />forms furnished by the Chief of Police <br /> <br />B. Every application for a public dance permit shall be accompanied by a nonrefundable <br />processing and investigation fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00). Every application for a <br />yearly public dance permit shall be accompanied by a nonrefundable processing and <br />investigation fee of two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00). A "nonprofit organization", defined as <br />an organization exempted from payment of the bank incorporation tax by section 23701(d) of <br />the California Revenue and Taxation Code, to which a contribution or gift would qualify as a <br />"charitable contribution" under section 170(c)(2) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code of 1954, <br />shall not be required to pay the above fees if evidence of such exempt status is provided to the <br />Chief of Police. Reserved. <br /> <br />C. An application for a public dance permit must be filed with the Chief of Police at least ten (10) <br />days prior to the date for which approval to conduct a public dance is requested. An application <br />for a yearly public dance permit must be filed with the Chief of Police twenty (20) days prior <br />to the date for which approval of such permit is requested to be effective. <br /> <br />D. Every application for a public dance permit or a yearly public dance permit shall contain the <br />following information: <br /> <br />1. Name and address of the applicant. <br />2. The location where the dance will be held. <br />3. The date or dates on which dancing will take place. <br />4. The character and nature of the dance. <br />5. The admission fee or other charge, if any. <br />6. Whether or not any food or beverages will be sold or consumed on the premises. <br />7. The maximum number of persons who will be attending or participating in the dance. <br />8. Such additional information deemed necessary by the Chief of Police to facilitate the <br />review and investigation of the application. <br /> <br />6.4.A. - Page 7
