<br />to, the City of Redwood City pursuant to the aforementioned <br />Ordinance No. 1704 for violations of the provisions of said <br />ordinance from and after February 1, 1978, shall be, and the same <br />are, null and void. Nothing herein provided shall be deemed to <br />repeal, render inoperative, or otherwise affect the provision of <br />any other ordinance, resolution, regulation, rule, order or permit <br />not made or enacted pursuant to Ordinance No. 1704. <br /> SECTION 4. Emergency Measure; Effective Date. This Council <br />hereby declares this ordinance to be necessary as an emergency <br />measure for the immediate preservation of public peace, health, or <br />safety for the reason that Ordinance No. 1704, repealed hereby, <br />contains criminal sanctions and other penalties for violation of <br />the provisions thereof, and it is necessary to eliminate liability <br />therefor at the earliest practicable date upon cessation of the <br />need therefor in order that persons affected thereby not be placed <br />in jeopardy. <br /> This ordinance shall be effective upon its adoption. <br /> * * * <br /> -2- <br /> 'T'··· <br />
