<br /> FXS:dft 6/24/94 (042/36) <br /> - <br /> o RIG I N A L <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12236 <br /> ---------- <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT WITH SERVICE LEAGUE OF SAN MATEO <br /> COUNTY, HOPE HOUSE REHABILITATION PROJECT <br /> (CDBG) <br /> WHEREAS, the Service League of San Mateo County, Hope House <br /> Rehabilitation Project ("Contractor" ) conducts a transitional <br /> housing program to serve women released from incarceration at its <br /> Redwood City facilities (the "Program"); and <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in <br /> order to expand and upgrade its facilities at the Hope House for <br /> the Program during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1994, and <br /> ending June 30, 1995; and <br /> WHEREAS, the funds to be received by Contractor will be used <br /> to upgrade and expand Hope House; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request <br /> and desires to allocate to Contractor, the sum of Twenty Five <br /> Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00) from its Community Development <br /> Block Grant funds for the foregoing purposes; and <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been <br /> presented to, and reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> approve said agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> That certain agreement entitled, "Service League of San <br /> Mateo County, Hope House Rehabilitation Project" (form dated Rev <br /> 6/14/94) , by and between the City of Redwood City and Service <br />
