<br /> DES:dft 6/21/94 (037/36) <br /> o RIG I N A L <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12230 <br /> ---------- - - <br /> RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PAYMENT OF NORMAL <br /> CONTRIBUTIONS OF ALL MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC <br /> EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT SYSTEM WITHIN THE GROUP OF <br /> EMPLOYEES REPRESENTED BY REDWOOD CITY POLICE <br /> OFFICERS ASSOCIATION <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is a contracting agency <br /> with the California Public Employees Retirement System ( "PERS ") ; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 20615, this <br /> City may provide for the payment of all or a portion of the <br /> normal contributions required to be made by members of PERS, <br /> provided, that when a member is included in a group or class of <br /> employment, such payment shall be for all members in the group or <br /> class; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City, pursuant to agreement <br /> with Redwood City Police Officers Association, pays PERS member <br /> normal contributions on behalf of all employees represented by <br /> said organization; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Government Code <br /> Section 20615, the City of Redwood City hereby signifies its <br /> intention to commence reporting the value of Employer Paid Member <br /> Contributions ("EPMC" ) as compensation for all PERS members <br /> represented by Redwood City Police Officers Association; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE¡ <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The City of Redwood City hereby elects to pay seven <br /> percent (7% ) of the PERS member normal contributions as EPMC and <br /> 'f"'" <br />
