Lucille Galvin, 143 St. Francis Street, stated that all of this area has the same problem with <br /> tight streets and comers, and she expressed concern for children's safety and parked cars in <br /> the Roosevelt area in addition to a Citywide problem. She urged a restriction as to how <br /> many cars can be parked on public streets. <br /> <br /> M/S Claire/Hartnett adopt Resolution No. RD99-17 Approving and Authorizing <br /> Execution of Agreement in Connection with the Acquisition of Property Located at 422 <br /> and 430 Lincoln Avenue for Low Income Redwood City Residents Providing $100,000 <br /> Agency Housing Funds. The motion passed with Claire, Hartnett and Mayor Howard <br /> voting yes; Ira and Leipzig voting no, with Jordan and Ruskin absent. <br /> <br /> B. Adoption of Agency Resolution Updating Rules and Regulations for <br /> Implementing Relocation Assistance Law and Property Acquisition Guidelines <br /> (403) <br /> <br /> Planning and Redevelopment Manager Church presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> No public came forward to address this item of business. <br /> <br /> M/S HartneWlra adopt Resolution No. RD99-18 Updating Rules and Regulations for <br /> Implementing Relocation Assistance Law and Property Acquisition Guidelines. The <br /> motion passed with unanimous roll call vote. <br /> <br /> C. Request from Sequoia Union High School District for $1 Million Funding <br /> Assistance for Carrington Hall Renovation Efforts (501) <br /> <br /> Redevelopment Director Church reported on the request from Sequoia Union High School <br /> for funding assistance for Carrington Hall renovation efforts and noted it is staffs <br /> recommendation to postpone action on the request by the Sequoia Union High School <br /> District for one million dollars, with the understanding that that the matter can be revisited in <br /> future budget years, due to current major project expenses associated with project expenses <br /> already committed in the next one to two years. He outlined possible options for Council to <br /> consider. <br /> <br /> Discussion ensued regarding actual funding and pass through tax sharing amounts already <br /> provided to Sequoia and the School District. <br /> <br /> The City Manager noted a letter just received from the school district dated today, and read <br /> the contents into the record. <br /> <br /> Steve Penna - 49 Birch Street, stated that this Carrinton Hall renovation project is vital to <br /> Redwood City, noted that he is on the fund raising board and requested a future time for them <br /> to meet with the City Council to discuss the projects merits in order to be better informed to <br /> make a decision. <br /> <br />REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MEETING MINUTES BOOK NO. 2 JANUARY 25, 1999 <br />MINUTES Page No. 3 PAGE 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
