<br /> <br />Redwood City Public Works Services <br />Customer Water Use Portal RFP <br />Attachment A – Customer Portal Requirements 1 <br />Attachment A – Customer Portal Requirements <br /> <br />Redwood City currently operates an online customer portal developed in-house. This website will <br />remain operational in conjunction with the selected solution until a time in which the selected <br />solution meets the minimum requirements as determined by Redwood City. <br /> <br />Minimum Portal Requirements <br />1. The customer portal shall provide online access to all water utility account holders and meet <br />the unique needs of the following customer classes: <br />a. Residential 21,000 accounts <br />b. Commercial/Industrial/Other 3,000 accounts <br />c. Irrigation 600 accounts <br />2. The primary method of communication to customers from the portal shall be email or SMS <br />a. The City is also interested in notification to customers by interactive voice response, <br />and push notifications from mobile apps. Paper notifications through US mail may <br />also be considered. <br />b. The Proposer shall provide a list of notification types available to the Customer (i.e. <br />leak, high use, broken pipe, etc.) <br />3. Portal is compatible with mobile devices and desktop browsers <br />4. Portal has Utility Administrator back-end with reporting tools, and replica customer view for <br />support <br />5. Single sign on and integration with the City’s online billpay provider (InfoSend) is required. <br />6. Proposers are required to show proof of Payment Card Industry compliance and certification. <br />7. Graphically display a line or similar feature representing a water use budget for individual <br />accounts or groupings of accounts using the process maintained by the City’s Utility Billing <br />System which groups accounts that share a water budget using a unique value called “Site <br />ID” in conjunction with a coded value water use type classification. The two values together <br />are referred to as a “Sub-Site” <br />a. Site ID is a 6 digit numeric value <br />b. Water Use Type is a 2 digit numeric value as follows <br />1 RETAIL <br />2 FIRE <br />3 IRRIGATION <br />4 OFFICE <br />5 MF RESIDENTIAL <br />6 INSTITUTIONAL <br />7 FOOD SERVICES <br />8 INDUSTRIAL <br />9 HEALTH SERVICES <br />10 LAUNDRY <br />11 LODGING <br />12 SF RESIDENTIAL <br />13 IRRIGATION RECYCLED <br />14 INDUSTRIAL RECYCLED <br />15 COMMERCIAL RECYCLED <br />99 UNKNOWN <br />6.1.E. - Page 52
