ATTY/RESO.0055/CC RESO SETTING PUBLIC HEARING FOR FY 17-18 BUDGET <br />REV: 06-05-17 JS <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />RESOLUTION NO. _____ <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY SETTING JUNE 26, 2017 AS THE DATE FOR THE PUBLIC <br />HEARING ON AND ADOPTION OF THE FISCAL YEAR 2017-18 <br />BUDGET, DIRECTING COPIES OF THE FISCAL YEAR 2017-18 <br />BUDGET TO BE FILED WITH THE CITY CLERK, AND AUTHORIZING <br />AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF THE <br />AVAILABILITY OF THE FISCAL YEAR 2017-18 BUDGET AND THE <br />DATE OF THE PUBLIC HEARING <br />WHEREAS, Section 51.5 of the City Charter requires that the City Council <br />establish a date for a public hearing on the upcoming fiscal year budget and establish, by <br />resolution, the date for final adoption of such budget; and <br />WHEREAS, the public hearing and final budget adoption date of June 26, 2017 <br />for the fiscal year 2017-18 budget was approved in concept at the June 12, 2017 City <br />Council meeting. <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. Pursuant to Section 51.5 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City, June 26, <br />2017, at 7:00 o’clock P.M., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, at City Hall, <br />the City Council Chambers, 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, California, is hereby <br />set as the time and place for public hearing on the budget for fiscal year 2017-18 and also <br />for final adoption of such budget. <br />2. The City Council directs that copies of the budget shall be filed with the City <br />Clerk for inspection by the public. <br />3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice to be published <br />stating that copies of the proposed budget are available for inspection at the City Clerk’s <br />office and stating the time and place at which the Council will hold a public hearing. <br />* * * <br />8.D. - Page 9
