<br /> DES:djk OÆ/13/94 (061/37) <br /> o RIG I N A L 4/26/94 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12169 <br /> ---------- <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION FOR LOCAL ASSISTANCE <br /> GRANT UNDER THE NATIONAL HISTORIC PRESERVATION <br /> GRANTS-IN-AID ASSISTANCE PROGRAM <br /> WHEREAS, the Congress, under Public Law 89-665, has <br /> authorized the establishment of a National Historic Preservation <br /> Grants-in-Aid Program (the "Program" ) providing matching funds to <br /> the State of California and its eligible subdivisions for <br /> historic preservation survey, registration, and planning; and <br /> WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation has <br /> been delegated the responsibility for the administration of the <br /> Program within the State, and has established necessary <br /> procedures governing application by local agencies under the <br /> Program; and <br /> WHEREAS, said procedures require the applicant to certify by <br /> resolution the approval of an application before submission of an <br /> application to the State~ and <br /> WHEREAS, said application contains assurances that the <br /> applicant must comply with; and <br /> WHEREAS, the applicant agency must enter into an agreement <br /> with the State of California for acquisition, development, <br /> rehabilitation or restoration of the project or projects therein <br /> described; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1.
