<br /> DES: dr 3/23/94 (023/36) <br /> o RIG I N A L 3/28/94 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12159 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> INTERIM EMERGENCY DISPATCHING SERVICES <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City and certain other public <br /> agencies located in the County of San Mateo propose to enter into <br /> a Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement pursuant to Government Code <br /> Section 6500 et seq. , establishing a separate entity to be known <br /> as, "Net Six"; and <br /> WHEREAS, the purpose of Net Six shall be to consolidate and <br /> provide for fire suppression and fire-department-related <br /> emergency dispatching communication services of said agencies <br /> under contract between Net Six and the County of San Mateo; and <br /> WHEREAS, the parties proposing to enter into said Joint <br /> Exercise of Powers Agreement anticipate that said agreement, and <br /> the proposed agreement between Net Six and the County, shall be <br /> effective July 1, 1994; and <br /> WHEREAS, this City and the County of San Mateo desire to <br /> expedite the furnishing of the City's aforesaid dispatching <br /> services in advance of the effective date of the aforesaid <br /> agreement between Net Six and the County; and <br /> WHEREAS, there has been presented to, and reviewed by, an <br /> agreement between the City of Redwood City and the County of San <br /> Mateo providing for such interim dispatching services; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> ~"--",,.,.
