<br /> DES:dF- 03/22/94 (021/36) <br /> .. <br /> o RIG I N A L 3/21/94 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12158 <br /> ---------- <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF JOINT <br /> EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT RELATING TO CONSOLIDATED <br /> FIRE AND EMERGENCY DISPATCH SERVICES <br /> ("NET SIX JOINT POWERS AUTHORITY") <br /> WHEREAS, consolidation of dispatching services for fire <br /> suppression and fire-department related emergency services <br /> results in efficiencies and economies in furtherance of the <br /> public safety, health and welfare; <br /> WHEREAS, there has been presented to, and reviewed by, this <br /> Council a proposed Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement by and <br /> among certain public agencies located in the County of San Mateo, <br /> including the City of Redwood City, providing for the <br /> consolidation of such dispatching services and this Council <br /> desires to enter into said agreement; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> l. That certain agreement entitled "Joint Powers <br /> Agreement" by and among the Menlo Park, Woodside, Point Montara, <br /> and Half Moon Bay Fire Protection Districts, the South County <br /> Fire Protection Authority and the City of Redwood City, <br /> establishing the "Net Six Joint Powers Authority" pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Government Code Section 6500 et seq. , for the <br /> consolidation of the aforesaid dispatching services, a copy of <br /> which agreement is on file in the Office of the City Clerk, to <br /> which copy reference is hereby made for the full particulars <br /> "" _ _._~.. _~'_'>"~_'"~'''_''_.__'''''.'"'____-----''_'_~_.__'W''~"'''''"'_''',....._"_·_..m"_".·"____~.
