<br /> Exhibit "A" <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> PARKS, RECREATION AND COMMUNITY <br /> SERVICES SUPERVISOR <br /> DEFINITION: <br /> Under the supervision of the Parks, Recreation and Community Services <br /> Superintendent, this position serves to supervise a section of the <br /> Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department, (Parks or <br /> Facilities) The incumbent may be assigned by the Department Head to <br /> either of the designated functions within this classification. <br /> Plans, organizes and supervises the program activities for designated <br /> function. <br /> SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED: <br /> General direction is provided by the Parks, Recreation and Community <br /> Services Superintendent. Responsibilities include direct and indirect <br /> supervision of parks, building, and custodial maintenance as well as <br /> landscape personnel. <br /> EXAMPLES OF IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES - Duties may include, but are <br /> not limited to the following: <br /> 1. Plan, direct and supervise the work of building, custodial and <br /> ground maintenance personnel in park and recreation facilities <br /> maintenance and repair. <br /> 2. Review work orders and schedule personnel and equipment in <br /> accordance with job requirements. <br /> 3. Inspect parks and building facilities, including swimming pools, to <br /> evaluate work progress, resolve work problems and determine <br /> additional needs. <br /> 4. Direct and supervise the installation of fencing, lighting and <br /> playground equipment. <br /> 5. Plan, layout and evaluate the work of contracted crews as <br /> assigned. <br /> 6. Collect and analyze information; complete and maintain a variety of <br /> records and reports. <br /> 7. Prepare requisitions for materials and supplies and assist in <br /> preparing equipment specifications. <br /> 8. Prepare section budget for review by Superintendent. <br /> 9.
