<br /> DES:dft '/4/94 (017/36) <br />help the United States protect its leadership in the highly <br />competitive civil transport market and 21st century aviation <br />research; and <br /> WHEREAS, selection of Ames as the site for the new wind <br />tunnels would, with the support of a strong coalition of nearby <br />business, research and governmental institutions and their <br />uniquely qualified work forces, ensure that the new wind tunnels <br />would successfully meet the challenges that lie ahead; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. This Council does hereby urge and support the selection <br />of the NASA Ames Research Center as the location for design and <br />construction of new wind tunnel facilities for the United States <br />Government. <br /> 2.
