RESOLUTION NO. 7798 CITY OF BELMONT San Mateo County, California RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR COST ALLOCATION RELATING TO PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING CONSULTING SERVICES FOR THE AREA-WIDE TRAFFIC IMPROVEMENT ASSESSMENT DISTRICT WHEREAS, the Cities of Belmont, Redwood City and San Carlos require the development of conceptual plans and preliminary cost estimate for the Area-Wide Traffic Improvement Assessment District (the "Project"); and WHEREAS, the Project mutually benefits the Cities of Redwood City, Belmont and San Carlos in certain respects; and WHEREAS, this Council has reviewed a proposed agreement between the Cities of Redwood City and Belmont pursuant to which Belmont shall pay the City of Redwood City for its proportionate share of the costs of the Project, based upon benefit conferred thereby to Belmont; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BELMONT AS FOLLOWS: That certain agreement attached hereto as Exhibit 1, by and between the City of Redwood City, a municipal corporation of the State of California and the City of Belmont, a municipal corporation of the State of California, pursuant to which Belmont shall compensate the City of Redwood City for its proportionate share of the costs of the Project based upon benefits thereby conferred upon Belmont, is hereby approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute, and to attest thereto, respectively, said agreement for and on behalf of the City of Belmont. **************** I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Belmont at a regular meeting thereof held on February 27, 1996.
