<br />County Board of Supervisors may designate, which is specifically charged with <br />regulating and enforcing laws dealing with animal control within its jurisdiction. <br />CITY or CITIES: Any or all of the cities listed in Exhibit A, attached and incorporated <br />by this reference herein. <br />COUNTY CONTRACTOR: Shall mean the Peninsula Humane Society (PHS), a <br />California nonprofit corporation, or such other agency as the County Board of <br />Supervisors may designate. <br />HOLIDAYS: Federally designated holidays with the addition of Easter and exclusion of <br />Columbus Day, in accordance with County Contractor's existing labor contracts. <br />B. CITY'S RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> 1. Adoption of Animal Control Ordinances & Fee Schedule. <br /> City shall, within 60 days after requested to do so by the County, adopt <br /> and maintain the same animal control ordinance and fee schedule as the <br /> County. The animal control ordinance shall be substantially the same as <br /> the provisions of Chapters 6.04, 6.12, and 6.16 of Title 6 of the San Mateo <br /> County Ordinance Code, as amended, to be effective within the City <br /> limits. The fee schedule shall be the same as outlined in Chapter 6.04.290 <br /> of the San Mateo County Ordinance Code. Enforcement of City <br /> ordinances which differ substantially from the County ordinance and <br /> which result in an increase to County Contractor's costs shall be <br /> reimbursed directly by the City requiring additional services, as negotiated <br /> between City requiring additional services and County Contractor. <br /> Provision of services to the County and Cities under the County's <br /> Agreement with County Contractor shall take priority over such additional <br /> services provided to separately contracting Cities. <br /> 2. Deliverv of Animals. City shall deliver to the shelter at 12 Airport <br /> Boulevard, San Mateo, or hold in a humane way at a designated holding <br /> area until it can be picked up by County Contractor staff, any animal taken <br /> into custody by an employee of the City. <br /> 3. Desi2:nation of License Collector. City shall designate the County's <br /> Division of Revenue Services as the official responsible for license fee <br /> collection on behalf of City. <br /> 4. Payments. City shall pay to the County prior to January 1 st of each fiscal <br /> year, and following the receipt of an invoice from County, the City's <br /> percentage share of the net program cost of the Animal Control Program <br /> as described herein and as specified in Exhibit B for FY 2003-04. This net <br /> program cost shall be determined by the County and shall be equal to the <br /> cost of the contract between the County and County Contractor plus the <br /> 2 <br /> _. -r- <br /> I <br />
