<br /> THIRD AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT
<br /> FOR A�iIMAL CONTROL AND SHELTER SERVICES
<br /> BETWEEN THE CITIES OF ATHERTON, BELMONT, BRISBANE,
<br /> BURLINGAME, COLMA, DALY CITY, E.ABT PALO ALTO, FOSTER CITY,
<br /> HALF MOON BAY, HILLSBOROUGH, MENLO PARK, MILLBRAE;
<br /> PACIFICA, PORTOLA VALLEY, REDWOOD CITY, SAN BRUNO, SAN
<br /> CARLOS, SAN MATEO, SOUTH SAN b'RANCISCO, WOODSIDE AND THE
<br /> COUNTY OF SAN MATEO
<br /> This Third Amendment to Agreement For Animal Control Services and Shelter
<br /> Services, dated for convenience this 26�` day of April, 2011 by and between the
<br /> COiJNTY OF SAN MATEO, a political subdivision of the State of Califomia
<br /> (hereinafter "County"), and the cilies or towns of Atherton, Belmont, Brisbane,
<br /> Burlingame, Colma, Daly City, East Palo Alto, Foster City, Half Moon Bay,
<br /> Hillsborough, Menlo Pazk, Millbrae, Pacifica, Portola Valley, Redwood City, San Bruno,
<br /> San Cazlos, San Mateo, South San Francisco, and Woodside (hereinafter "City");
<br /> WITIVESSETH
<br /> WHEREAS, the City has passed and is responsible for enforcing local ordinances
<br /> governing the regulation, licensing and impounding of certain animals within the
<br /> territorial limits of the City; and
<br /> WHEREAS, on June 17, 2003, County and Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA
<br /> ("hereinafter "Contractor" or "County Contractor") entered into an Agreement For
<br /> Animal Control Services and Shelter Services (hereinafter referred to as the
<br /> "Agreement"); and
<br /> WHEREA5� County and City entered into an Agreement on or about July 1,
<br /> 2003 for Animal Control Services (hereinafter, "City AgreemenY'); and
<br /> WHEREAS, County and City entered into an Amendment on or about December
<br /> 14, 2004, extending the City Agreement to correspond with an extension of the
<br /> Agreement and PHS land lease through June 30, 2008 and amending the PHS payment
<br /> schedule; and
<br /> WHEREAS, County and City entered into a Second Amendment on or about
<br /> April 24, 2007, extending the City Agreement to correspond with the Second
<br /> Amendment of the Agreement and PHS land lease through June 30, 2011 and amending
<br /> the PH5 payment schedule; and
<br /> WHEREAS, County and County Contractor have entered into Third
<br /> Amendxnent, extending the Agreement and Land Lease Agreement through June 30,
<br /> 2015;
