5. SPECIAL ORDERS OF THE DAY -- <br />A. Proclamation: Health and Wellness Month (207) <br />Bruce Utecht, Recreation Supervisor at Veterans Memorial Center accepted the <br />proclamation read by Mayor Ira. He stated that this Saturday, September 18 from <br />10:00 a.m. — 3:00 p.m. is the community wellness festival at Red Morton <br />Community Park. There will be music, dancing, games, art and food. <br />B. Ceremony: Mayor's Beautification Awards presentation <br />Mayor Ira stated that this is the 16 Annual Awards presentation that began with <br />former Mayor Georgi LaBerge and over the last several years, there have been <br />extremely positive changes. He thanked the Pride and Beautification Committee <br />and the City Manager's Office for its work and commitment to the project. The <br />awards were presented by Mayor Ira and Council Member Howard for the <br />following: <br />Best Architectural Design, Commercial <br />Honorable Mention: Peninsula Habitat for Humanity, Mary Boughton — Executive <br />Director — Friendly Acres <br />Best Compatible Building and Garden Landscape — Residential - <br />Winner: Carmen Lynch and Barry Schwenkmeyer— Redwood Oaks <br />Winner: David and Liza Harvey - Roosevelt <br />Honorable Mention: Rogelio and Lillie Curincita — Stambaugh - Heller <br />Best Dental Interior office Design — Commercial <br />Winner: Future Dental Care, Dr. Shervin Sharati, Owner — Friendly Acres <br />Best Historical Restoration - Exterior - Residential <br />Winner: Dr. Marion Y.
