EXHIBIT 'W$
SCOPE OF SERVICES
The project consists of two components: a camera recording system, and a display
system. Together, the two systems will work together to provide a means for library
customers to view their returned library materials as they travel through the automated
returns system at the Redwood Shores Library. The intent of the project is to highlight
the Library's investment in technology, build confidence in the system for visitors, and to
provide a fun and interesting visual experience, particularly for children.
For outdoor viewing of the book return process an outdoor display shall be connected to
a networked video recorder for simultaneous viewing of the four cameras within the
conveyer belt return system. The networked recorder shall include 1TB of storage for
camera recordings. The two existing Dell monitors shall be connected via distribution
amplifier to view the same image as outdoor display.
In order to meet the specifications for equipment to accomplish the objectives described
above, Library staff and Consultant have mutually agreed that the equipment and
configuration described in detail within this scope of work will perform all the necessary
functions. The specific required equipment lists for the camera recording system and the
display system, as well as the equipment pricing and installation costs associated with
each, are listed separately below.
Delivery of the specified equipment to City shall be made at Consultant's sole cost and
expense, and risk of loss or damage to equipment prior to completed installation shall
remain with Consultant. The forgoing sentence notwithstanding, in the event that City
decides to exercise its right to terminate for convenience, Consultant will use best efforts
to return undelivered materials to vendors, and cancel any existing orders. If such
products cannot be returned, the City agrees to take delivery of those items. In the event
that City decides to exercise its right to terminate for convenience, City agrees to be
responsible for any restocking fees imposed by vendors.
Consultant shall be paid $8,633.84 (50% of the total project cost) upon inception of the
project, and the remaining $8,633.84 shall be invoiced on a net 30 basis upon
satisfactory completion of all work.
System includes:
• One (1) 47" SunBriteTV HD outdoor display to be wall mounted on a static tilting
wall mount on the outside wall entrance. Mounting hardware shall be stainless
steel (weatherproof).
o The display shall be connected to the IP recorder and display the four (4)
live camera feeds in a quad -spit view.
• One (1) IP recorder with 1TB of storage shall be provided for recording of the
four (4) IP cameras.
o IP recorder shall be connected to one (1) HDbaseT distribution amplifier
for input to outdoor display and two (2) owner furnished Dell monitors
ATTY/AGR/2017.110/SPINITAR —SHORES LIBRARY CAMERA SYSTEM
REV: 05-16-17 JS
