Approve and authorize execution of Joint Exercise <br />of Powers Agreement establishing Bay Area Water <br />Agency <br />Report: Community Development Director 4/19/89 <br />Mayor Greenalch described need for regional approach to water quality and <br />equality and joined with City Attorney Schricker to offer assurances that <br />authorizing execution of joint exercise of powers agreement establishing Bay <br />Area Water Agency would not commit the City of Redwood City to support bond <br />issues nor would the Agency raise funds through property taxes. <br />Nita Spangler, 978 Edgewood Road, Redwood City, spoke in favor of a regional <br />approach to water quality and availability and described consequences if <br />decision - makers refuse to take the shortage seriously. <br />Title read.
