Louise Short, 220 Center Street, Redwood City asked Council for help in <br />recovering funds she believes are owed to her from her claim against the City <br />which was denied by Council. Mayor Greenalch offered to assist Mrs. Short from <br />discretionary funds available to the Council and again explained the City has no <br />responsibility or liability in this case. Mayor Greenalch to phone Mrs. Short <br />tomorrow and discuss the matter further. <br />MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br />a. Councilman Claire reported the Personnel Committee is continuing to meet with <br />the Benefits Committee and have scheduled their next meetings for 12:15 p.m. <br />Friday and 5:30 p.m. Monday, May 8th. <br />b. Councilman Bury reported on the successful YMCA fundraiser and the Human <br />Investment Project Open House he and other Councilmembers attended last week. <br />Councilman Bury suggested that the Shared Home on Pine and Middlefield be <br />nominated for a Mayors Beautification Award. <br />C. Vice Mayor LaBerge invited Council to attend the Council of Mayors dinner on <br />May 19th in San Bruno where she will be giving a presentation about the <br />conflict resolution program which began in Redwood City and which she hopes <br />will be adopted throughout the County. <br />Reg.Mtg.
