ORIGINAL <br />AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO HEARING OFFICER AGREEMENT WITH <br />CAROLKORADE <br />FOR HEARING OFFICER SERVICES <br />Thi,s Amendment No. 1 is entered into and effective as of the 2,-1 day of <br />7"y , 2017, amending the agreement dated June 29, 2017 ("Hearing <br />Officer Agrhent with Carol Korade for Hearing Officer Services") by and between the <br />City of Redwood City, a charter city and municipal corporation ("CITY"), and Carol Korade, <br />a sole proprietor ("CONSULTANT"), for hearing officer services. <br />RECITALS <br />A. On June 29, 2017, the Parties executed a Hearing Officer Agreement with <br />Carol Korade for Hearing Officer Services, namely the administration and handling of <br />administrative appeal hearings conducted under the Docktown Plan. <br />B. The Parties have negotiated and agreed to an Amendment No. 1 to extend <br />the Hearing Officer Agreement with Carol Korade for Hearing Officer Services. <br />C. The City Manager is authorized to execute an amendment increasing the <br />amount of the Hearing Officer Agreement with Carol Korade for Hearing Officer <br />Services. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of these recitals and the mutual covenants <br />contained herein, the Parties agree as follows: <br />1. Consultant will continue to provide those services described in Section 1 <br />"Scope of Work" of the Hearing Officer Agreement with Carol Korade for Hearing Officer <br />Services. <br />2. City will pay Consultant at the hourly rate specified in Section 3 <br />"Consideration" of the Hearing Officer Agreement with Carol Korade for Hearing Officer <br />Services an amount not -to -exceed Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) for work <br />performed under this Amendment No. 1, for an aggregate amount not to exceed One <br />Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00). Consultant will provide monthly bills as per <br />Section 3 "Consideration" of the Hearing Officer Agreement with Carol Korade for Hearing <br />Officer Services. <br />3. All other provisions of the Hearing Officer Agreement with Carol Korade for <br />Hearing Officer Services, as may have been amended from time to time, will remain in <br />full force and effect. <br />4.
