06/26/2017 <br />WHEREAS, it is the general policy of the City to charge for the full costs of services <br />provided by City Staff when such services benefit individual users rather than members <br />of the community as a whole; and <br />WHEREAS, in order to better achieve the City's policy and cost recovery goals, <br />the City Council deems it advisable and in the best interests of the City to adopt and <br />amend certain Public Works Services fees as set forth on Exhibit A, which is attached <br />hereto and incorporated herein by reference (the "Proposed Fees"); and <br />WHEREAS, in connection with the Proposed Fees, the City is proposing <br />amendments to Sections 38.10, 38.10.1, and 38.5(h) to reflect fees being updated (the <br />"Ordinance Updates"); and <br />WHEREAS, a duly -noticed public hearing was held by the City Council on June <br />26, 2017 to review the Matrix Study and the Proposed Fees; and <br />WHEREAS, at least ten (10) days prior to the public hearing, the City made <br />available to the public data indicating the amount of cost, or estimated cost, required to <br />provide the services for which the Proposed Fees will be charged and the revenue <br />sources anticipated to provide the services, including general fund revenues; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redwood <br />City as follows: <br />1. The above recitals are accurate, constitute findings in this matter, and are <br />hereby incorporated into this Resolution by reference. <br />2. The amount of each of the Proposed Fees does not exceed the estimated <br />amount of the reasonable costs required to provide the service for which <br />the fee or service charge is levied. <br />3.
