ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br /> <br /> Council Member Ira noted most recent Council packet included a letter from the Mayor <br /> to the Board of Supervisors. The letter was well written with Council intent expressed; <br /> however, the letterhead used was obsolete. <br /> <br /> Council Member Ira referred to Ruby Street residents expressing concern last week about <br /> the drug and rehabilitation project and the probability of another one going in on Carlton. <br /> Mentioned legislation (AB 997) introduced by Assembly Member Campbell. Council <br /> Member Ira advised the need to set up a legislative committee; to come back next week <br /> with an update and recommendation within the next 30 days on community care facilities <br /> throughout the state of California. <br /> <br /> Mayor Howard thanked Council Member Ira regarding letterhead issue.
