<br /> ORIGINAL <br /> (08/26/96) <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> Jean Weingarten Peninsula Oral School for the Deaf <br /> . <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this ~'d- day of <br />/~ ' 1996, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and Jean Weingarten Peninsula Oral Schc~1 for <br />the Deaf, a California nonprofit corporation ("Contractor"); <br /> WIT N E SSE T H: <br />WHEREAS, Contractor provides an education to deaf, preschool infants and children, <br />teaching them to speak and listen, in order for them to access mainstream education in their <br />local public school; and <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct the program <br />for residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1996, and ending June 30, <br />1997; and <br />WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and desires to allocate to Contractor the sum of <br />Three Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($3,000); <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto do hereby agree as follows: <br />1 . FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City shall allocate to Contractor the sum of Three <br />Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($3,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal year <br />commencing July 1, 1996, and ending June 30, 1997, solely for the purposes described in <br />paragraph 2. <br />2. USE OF FUNDS. Contractor shall use the funds provided pursuant to paragraph 1 <br />solely for the Program purposes described in Exhibit "A" (Contract Objectives) attached hereto <br />and by this reference incorporated herein. <br /> - T <br />
