Attachment 1 to Exhibit A
April 19, 2017
Derek Rampone
Financial Services Manager
City of Redwood City
1017 Middlefield Road
Redwood City, CA 94063
Dear Mr. Rampone,
NexLevel Information Technology, Inc. (NexLevel) respectfully submits this amended proposal to the City
of Redwood City and the City of Burlingame (Cities) in response to your Request for Proposal (RFP) for
Finance System Replacement Project Management Services. Per the City's request, we have updated the
proposal to reflect our updated pricing.
Since 1999, NexLevel's successful track record includes supporting over 100 California public agencies.
Many of these projects have been for ERP consulting services, and this benefits the City as we bring
hands-on experience with the solutions that are commonly offered to California public agencies, as well
as proven methods, processes, and tools that help lead to project success.
For example, NexLevel is actively providing ERP consulting services for the following agencies: City of
Sunnyvale, City of San Ramon, City of Fremont, City of Sunnyvale, City of Indio, City of Carson, City of
Half Moon Bay, City of Chino Hills, City of Glendale, City of Poway, City of Manhattan Beach, Placer
County, Douglas County (NV), San Benito County, Silicon Valley Clean Water, South Tahoe Public Utility
District, Cosumnes Community Services District, and Associated Regional Center Agencies (ARCA).
NexLevel is recognized throughout the State for our expertise and services in supporting public sector
agency ERP projects. This is evident not only by the number of successful projects and client references,
but also because our clients typically ask us to return to completion additional project engagements. In
addition, we are commonly asked to present at organizations such as California Society of Municipal
Financial Offices (CSMFO) and Municipal Information Systems Association of California (MISAC). For
example, at the CSMFO 2016 annual conference, we co -presented a day long pre -conference session
dedicated to ERP procurement and implementation. Because of the success of that session, NexLevel
again co -presented a similar, day -long pre -conference session at the CSMFO 2017 annual conference.
NexLevel has reviewed the RFP and understands the work to be performed. Further, NexLevel has
previously worked with Redwood City to provide an IT Assessment and IT Strategic Plan so we are
familiar with their IT infrastructure and applications. NexLevel is also familiar with the financial
application used by the Cities (Rocket's UDBMS), as we have recently completed a requirements analysis
and RFP development for Silicon Valley Clean Water (SVCW). We are in the process of helping SVCW
through final selection and negotiations.
As demonstrated in our proposal, NexLevel proposes a team with extensive experience in supporting
municipal ERP projects. The team includes consultants with hands-on municipal finance expertise, as
well as deep expertise in requirements, integration, conversion, ERP market solutions, public
procurement methods, and contract negotiations. This team brings the expertise necessary to ensure a
quality procurement and selection of the best fit solution.
Lastly, NexLevel maintains software vendor independence to ensure an unbiased ERP RFP selection
process and will not profit from one vendor selection over another.
REV: 06-15-17 JS Page 5 of 28
ATTY/AGR/2017 127/NEXLEVEL-FSR CONSULTANT
