6.1.E. - Page 35 <br />Below are answers to questions: <br />Question <br />1. Page 8 on Available location for sample <br />port location: What is the intent of the <br />peristaltic pump? <br />Answer <br />The peristaltic pump is intended to allow for <br />sample collection and water quality <br />monitoring from the below ground storage <br />tank. Other pumps capable of performing this <br />function will be considered. <br />2. Page 10 Section A.c.: clarification on 120 Bidder can provide either option. <br />VAC or 240 VAC. <br />3. In terms of installation, do they need a <br />licensed contractor? If so, what are the <br />requirements for the licensed contractor? <br />Do they have to be in a union? <br />Bidder is to provide a qualified technician to <br />oversee and assist with the installation of the <br />system, if the system is designed for <br />installation by water utility staff. Bidder's <br />technician will also provide initial start-up <br />services such as instrument calibration and <br />tuning, and train City staff. Details are <br />provided on page 13 of the NIB. <br />4.
