Work Plan <br />A. Inventory Routing: <br /> The city will be divided into logical work units and tasks, using existing <br /> grid maps. <br />ª'- Inventory Scope: <br /> All concrete damage locations, tree locations, and potential planting sites <br /> in the public right of way will be inventoried, <br />k.. Automated Data Collection: <br /> Data will be collected using hand-held microcomputers. The use of hand- <br /> helds has several advantages over recording the data on paper data <br /> sheets. The most important advantages are (1) it saves the keying in of <br /> data; (2) avoids data translation errors; (3) provides powerful editing <br /> features; (4) accurately captures data (through use of our custom data <br /> capture computer program, invalid data responses can be detected and <br /> corrected at the time of entry), <br />D. Data Quality Control: <br /> The most important facet of successful implementation of such an <br /> automated tree identification system is good data. Data quality will be <br /> monitored during the entire inventory process.
