<br /> EXHIBIT A - SCOPE OF SURVEY SERVICES <br /> TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEY/BASE MAPPING <br /> PROJECT NO. 806-08 <br /> HOPKINS WATER LINE REPLACEMENT PROJECT <br /> 1. The topographic project area shall be defined as: <br /> a) The street right-of way area along Hopkins Avenue from Alameda <br /> de las Pulgas to El Camino Real. <br /> b) The street right-of way area along Alameda de las Pulgas from <br /> Whipple Avenue to Hopkins Avenue. <br /> 2. The topographic survey shall be drafted on plan and profile mylars <br /> with the City of Redwood City title block at a scale of I" = 20'. <br /> The City of Redwood City shall provide a AutoCAD V13 format disc <br /> containing its standard 24" x 36" plan and profile sheet. The <br /> survey shall also be delivered on an AutoCAD V13 format disc. <br /> 3. The survey shall be based upon the City of Redwood City's vertical <br /> datum. <br /> 4. The survey shall indicate all visible physical features within the <br /> project area including manholes, valve boxes, monuments, utility <br /> covers, drain inlets, water meters, cleanouts, hydrants, trees, <br /> fences, driveways, poles and signs. <br /> 5. Centerline profiles of the street shall be at one hundred foot <br /> intervals on tangent sections and twenty-five foot intervals along <br /> curved sections. <br /> 6. The topographic survey area shall be extended fifty feet from the <br /> curb return at all street intersections. <br /> 7. The final drawings shall include approximated side lot property <br /> lines, right-of-way lines, lot addresses (per block book), street <br /> centerlines, existing underground utility locations (as indicated <br /> upon City of Redwood City utility maps) and inverts of accessible <br /> manholes and drainage inlet structures. <br /> 8. The side lot lines shown on the drawing will be as shown on the <br /> original subdivision maps. No attempt will be made to rectify or <br /> resolve any boundary discrepancies which a current title report may <br /> disclose. <br /> 9. For the purpose of this proposal it is assumed that the City of <br /> Redwood City will request that U.S.A. will identify & mark the <br /> underground locations of those P.G.& E., cable TV and Pacific Bell <br /> utilities which P.G.& E. or Pacific Bell or cable TV companies have <br /> accurate records as to their utility locations in the project area. <br /> ~., <br />
