------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br />Vic Holbrook, 28 Diller Street, Redwood City asked Council if the 15- minute <br />time limit for Oral Communications could be observed to avoid repetition and agreed <br />that public hearings did not have nor should have time limits. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br />a. Councilwoman Buchan reported on the San Mateo County 2000 Forum held <br />September 25, 1989 and encouraged everyone to attend the next two meetings to <br />be held in November and January and join in the focus groups. <br />b. Vice Mayor LaBerge reported on the ribbon cutting at Mt. Carmel Church held <br />last Wednesday for the new pre- kindergarten program for 4 -year olds. <br />c. Vice Mayor LaBerge advised Council that last week a meeting was held to <br />consider the parking situation in the Sequoia High School neighborhood <br />attended by 60 concerned residents and staff, school district and county <br />representatives. A working group has been formed and will meet at Mount <br />Carmel on September 26th to consider all recommendations. <br />d. Mayor Greenalch thanked Vice Mayor LaBerge and all Councilmembers for doing <br />such a great job representing the Council at the many meetings and functions <br />each attends and complimented the Vice Mayor on her talk at the Community <br />Forum at Ampex on September 22, 1989. <br />e.
