MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br />a. Vice Mayor LaBerge reported on the success of the production "Annie" at the <br />refurbished Fox Theatre on Broadway with 350 people attending the gala <br />premiere on December 1, 1989 and over 4500 tickets presold for the run <br />through December. <br />b. Mayor Greenalch thanked Vice Mayor LaBerge for her leadership in encouraging <br />arts and business enterprises and for bringing "Annie" to the Fox Theatre, <br />and thanked City Manager Smith for his efforts in this successful endeavor. <br />c. Mayor Greenalch advised that Tuesday, December 5, 1989 the San Mateo County <br />Board of Supervisors would be considering new sites for housing the inmate <br />population in San Mateo County. Councilman Bury volunteered to attend the <br />meeting and represent the interests of Redwood City. <br />d. Mayor Greenalch advised that December 14, 1989 at 7;30 a.m. in San Mateo the <br />Peninsula Water Agency would meet.
