One copy of the Structure Type Selection documents will be <br />submitted to Caltrans District 4 office. <br />Task 3.5 Electrical Design <br />AECOM will prepare the electrical plans. The scope of electrical plans will include design of <br />ramp metering system including supporting queue and count loops, signal removal, new <br />traffic signal, signal modifications, signal interconnect, bicycle and pedestrian lighting, <br />roadway lighting, freeway lighting, traffic operation system, irrigation control service, <br />temporary signals and temporary highway lighting. <br />Local Street Lighting: AECOM will assist the City to identify the appropriate light and <br />fixture types. The level of effort assumes that up to three fixture types will be identified in <br />consultation with agency staff. Roadway lighting photometric analysis will be calculated for <br />the chosen light and fixture types to determine adequate lighting along the corridors. <br />Plans will be developed using the applicable Caltrans Standard Plans and Specifications, the <br />signal designs will incorporate the latest Caltrans requirements for bicycle and motorcycle <br />detection per Traffic Operations Policy Directive 09-06, dated September 10, 2009. Caltrans <br />and the City will review this submittal and provide comments for incorporation into <br />subsequent submittals. This scope assumes AECOM will receive one set of comments from <br />each agency at each review level. <br />Electrical and Telephone Service for project elements: Prepare electrical load calculations <br />and submit them to the utility company to verify service point locations and capabilities. <br />Identify telephone service drop locations in coordination with the telephone company. <br />Task 3.6 Design Plan Sheets <br />AECOM will prepare all final Design Plan Sheets. Plans will be prepared in accordance with <br />Caltrans' requirements. <br />3.6.1 Highway Design Plans <br />A set of highway design plans will be compiled, including some or all of the following <br />sheets as needed.
