MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST - Mayor Howard thanked the Native Sons of the <br /> Golden West established in 1885 and active in the community for many years have made a <br /> commitment to the City of giving a new American flag and California State flag each year for City <br /> Hall. Mayor Howard announced that on Saturday, September 18, the City of Redwood City with <br /> the Pride and Beautification Committee will sponsoring a city-wide coastal clean-up in <br /> conjunction with the coastal commission. The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the City Public <br /> Works Yard with coffee and donuts, site assignments will be chosen and a lunch will be provided <br /> by the San Mateo Credit Union at 1:00 p.m. at the Public Works Yard. <br /> <br /> 7. Overview Traffic Unit/Traffic Enforcement (702) <br /> <br /> Police Chief Bolanos introduced his report with the discussion of traffic enforcement in the <br /> community on Edgewood Road from the May 18, 1999 Council meeting.
