<br />PUBLIC WORKS SERVICES <br />2017 Redwood Shores Lagoon Aquatic Plant <br />Management and Environmental Engineering Services RFP 9 <br />8.2. Notice of Cancellation. This insurance will be in force during the life of the Agreement <br />and any extensions of it and will not be canceled without Consultant providing thirty (30) <br />days prior written notice to City sent pursuant to the Notice provisions of this Agreement. <br /> <br />8.3 Providing Certificates of Insurance and Endorsements. Prior to City’s execution of <br />this Agreement, Consultant shall provide to City certificates of insurance and above - <br />referenced endorsements sufficient to satisfaction of City’s Risk Manager. In no event shall <br />Consultant commence any work or provide any Services under this Agreement until <br />certificates of insurance and endorsements have been accepted by City’s Risk Manager. <br /> <br />8.4 Failure to Maintain Coverage. If Consultant fails to comply with these insurance <br />requirements, then City will have the option to declare Consultant in breach, or may <br />purchase replacement insurance or pay the premiums that are due on existing policies in <br />order to maintain the required coverages. Consultant is responsible for any payments made <br />by City to obtain or maintain insurance and City may collect these payments f rom Consultant <br />or deduct the amount paid from any sums due Consultant under this Agreement. <br /> <br />8.5 Submission of Insurance Policies. City reserves the right to require, at any time, <br />complete copies of any or all required insurance policies and endorsemen ts. <br /> <br />9. Business License <br />The successful Proposer that is awarded the Agreement will be required to be licensed in accordance <br />with the City of Redwood City Business License Ordinance, Municipal Code Chapter 32.101 through <br />32.156, entitled "Business Tax". Business license information (application, ordinance, fees) can be <br />found by navigating to the City of Redwood City homepage (www.redwoodcity.org) and selecting <br />“Government,” “Codes and Ordinances,” “Municipal Code,” “Taxation*,” “Article V. – Business <br />licenses.” <br /> <br />10. Prevailing Wage <br />Copies of the general prevailing rates of per diem wages for each craft, classification, or type of <br />worker needed to execute the Contract, as determined by Director of the State of California <br />Department of Industrial Relations, are on file at City’s office and are deemed included in the Bidding <br />Sections. Also, Contractor shall post the applicable prevailing wage rates at the job Site. The City has <br />a web site (www.redwoodcity.org), which is linked to the Department of Industrial Relations, where <br />Bidders may obtain prevailing wage data. <br /> <br />Contractor and any subcontractors under the Contractor shall comply with Section 1776, regarding <br />certified payroll records, and with Section 1777.5, re garding the employment and training of <br />apprentices of the Labor Code. <br /> <br />Contractor shall comply with the requirements in Labor Code 1810 et seq concerning hours in a <br />workday and week and overtime. <br /> <br />11. Review and Selection Process <br />City staff will evaluate the Proposals based on the following criteria: <br />6.1.B. - Page 21
