<br /> Exhibit "A" <br /> Contract Employee <br /> "Redwood City 2000 Coordinator" <br />The Position: <br />Under the direction of the Leadership Group of the Redwood City 2000 <br />Committee, the Redwood City 2000 Coordinator (Coordinator) will support the <br />work of the Committee in providing oversight to four existing collaborative <br />programs including: The Healthy Start Program at Taft School, the Violence <br />Prevention Program, the South County Coalition for Substance Abuse <br />Prevention and the Community Support Project at the High School District. <br />Specific Duties may include but are not limited to the following: <br />· ADMINISTRA TION/COORDINA TION <br />1. Convene monthly meetings of both the Redwood City 2000 Committee and <br /> the Leadership Group including: all meeting arrangements, agenda <br /> development, meeting notes and materials. <br />2. Establish mechanism for regular communication with funders as to status of <br /> the Committee's progress to at a minimum include: monthly updates and an <br /> annual report and presentation to the respective governing bodies. <br />3. Coordinate collaborative grant applications <br />4. Monitor grant funding and expenses. <br />· SUPPORT OF EXISTING COLLABORATIVES <br />5. Coordinate the interaction between the four (4) existing collaboratives and <br /> the Redwood City 2000 Committee. <br />6. Regularly attend steering committee meetings for the collaboratives and <br /> provide technical assistance when appropriate. <br />7. Assist collaboratives with resource development, linkages with other <br /> community groups, program development and implementation. <br />· COMMUNITY VISION I STRATEGIC PLANNING <br />8. Develop an evaluation tool which will measure the effectiveness of the <br /> Redwood City 2000 effort. <br />9. Pull together into a useable format, existing studies that provide baseline <br /> information from which a community vision can be developed. <br />10. Together with the Redwood City 2000 Committee, identify a process for <br /> developinig and coordinating a Healthy Community Strategic Plan. <br />11. Develop a Community Report Card based on indicators and priorities <br /> identified by the community. <br />· COMMUNITY MOBILIZATION <br />12. Coordinate a variety of community meetings, and focus groups to <br /> inform the community about existing initiatives; encourage participation in <br /> these programs; give information as to the current state of the quality of life in <br /> Redwood City and allows the community to establish its priorities for action. <br />13. Encourage broad based community participation in present and future <br /> projects and develop appropriate recognition for these volunteers. <br /> 6 <br /> -.. <br />
