. . . 3. Compensation ! (a) Rate - Contract Employee shall be compensated for the performance I of the above described services at the rate of ($33,089.00) Dollars per year. Payment of such compensation shall be made bi-weekly. Contract employee shall be paid for approved overtime work, at the rate of time and one-half for time worked in excess of forty(40)hours per work/week. (b) Benefits - Contract employee shall be entitled to the following benefits: PERS Retirement: Contract Employee shall be entitled to participate in the Public Employees Retirement System. The City will contribute both the employee and the employer's portion of the PERS contribution. State Disability Insurance: Contract Employee shall be entitled to I participate in the State Disability Insurance. Applicable: X Yes No Mileage: Mileage reimbursement shall be at the prevailing IRS rate for ! travel requested and authorized by the City. I Recognized Holidays: City shall provide paid holidays as listed in reference. I Exhibit "B", attached hereto and incorporated by this Bereavement Leave: Contract Employee may be absent with pay up to three - I (3) consecutive work days (four (4) days if travel is required over 300 miles one way) available upon commencement of employment because of a death in Contract Employee's immediate family. Sick Leave: Contract Employee shall accrue sick leave on a monthly basis at a rate of one day each month of service up to a total of 12 days per year. Sick leave shall be available after six (6) months of service. Contract Employee shall not be paid for unused sick leave. Personal Business Leave: Contract Employee will receive one (1) paid personal business leave day per year. Personal Business Leave shall be available after six(6)months of service, and is deducted from sick leave. Unused Personal Business Leave is not carried forward from one year to the next. Vacation Leave: Vacation Leave shall commence to accrue upon commencement of contract and shall be available after six (6 ) months of service. Contract Employee shall accrue vacation leave on a monthly basis at the rate of ten (10) days per year. 2 -.'~_., ._.
