<br />, <br />.' <br /> Redwood <br /> Gitv California <br /> føund8d 1881 <br /> ~ <br /> LETTER OF AGREEMENT <br /> Due to recent meet and confer sessions between the Redwood City Management <br /> Employees Association and the City of Redwood City the following amendment regarding <br /> vacation accruals was agreed upon by both parties: <br /> 16.19 Vacations <br /> 16.19.1 All regular full-time management unit employees who have worked for <br /> the City six (6) months or more shall be entitled to vacation leave. <br /> 16.19.2 The time during the calendar year at which an employee shall take <br /> vacation shall be determined by the department head with due regard to <br /> the wishes of the employee and with particular regard to the needs of the <br /> service. During the period ftom March 1 through April 15 of each <br /> calendar year, all employees shall, on a form provided by the City, <br /> indicate their preferences for vacation periods. Preference of vacation <br /> date shall be given to employees according to their length of service in as <br /> reasonable manner as possible. Each department will post a final <br /> vacation schedule by April 30 of each year. <br /> 16.19.3 Full-time employees shall be entitled to annual vacation leave as follows: <br /> Employees shall accrue vacation at a rate (3.077 hours per pay period) <br /> that yields 80 hours of vacation at the end of each year of service ftom <br /> the first year through the fourth year. After completion of the fourth year <br /> of service. employees will accrue vacation at a rate (4.615 hours per pay <br /> period) that yields 120 hours of vacation at the end of each year through <br /> the fourteenth year of service.
