ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br /> <br /> Catherine Fraser, Chamber of Commerce, announced that the long awaited website is up and <br /> running and encouraged all to take a look at http://redwoodcitychamber.com. She mentioned that <br /> the Council Candidate Forum will be conducted at 7:30 a.m., Friday, October 15 at the Sequoia <br /> Club. <br /> <br /> Patricia O'Brien spoke of possible confusion around the political sign ordinance. She mentioned <br /> signs are being placed in the parking strips of residential areas, which she understands to be in <br /> violation and requested removal of non-complying signs. <br /> <br /> Michael O'Brien commended the City on Stafford Park renovation as a multi-use facility and focal <br /> gathering spot for all ages. He mentioned ways of better communication and involvement for the <br /> community such as press releases, information regarding schedules of boards, commissions and <br /> associations and utility bill messages. <br /> <br /> Mayor Howard mentioned Redwood City 2000 will be gathering on Friday, October 15 at 6:00 <br /> p.m. and Saturday, October 16 at 8:00 a.m. in City Hall. This is an opportunity for the community <br /> to assist in planning into the future. <br /> <br />3. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br /> Items on the Consent Calendar are considered to be routine by the City Council and will be <br /> enacted by one motion and one vote.
