<br /> ORIGINAL <br /> (08/25/97) <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> Emergency Hunger Fund <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this ¿;¡;¡~ day of <br />x£~ ' 1997, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a municipal <br />/ <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and Emergency Hunger Fund, a California <br />nonprofit organization ("Contractor"); <br /> WIT N E SSE T H: <br />WHEREAS, Contractor provides assistance with emergency short term help to <br />individuals in the community, which includes food, clothing, shelter and gasoline; and <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct the program <br />for residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1997, and ending June 30, <br />1998; and <br />WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and desires to allocate to Contractor the sum of <br />Ten Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($10,000); <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto do hereby agree as follows: <br />1 . FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City shall allocate to Contractor the sum of Ten Thousand <br />and No/100 Dollars ($10,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal year <br />commencing July 1, 1997, and ending June 30, 1998, solely for the purposes described in <br />paragraph 2. <br />2. USE OF FUNDS. Contractor shall use the funds provided pursuant to paragraph 1 <br />solely for the Program purposes described in Exhibit "A" (Contract Objectives) attached hereto <br />and by this reference incorporated herein. <br />
