Although hazardous materials are not expected, the CONTRACTOR shall contact the City, if <br />such materials are found. The CONTRACTOR is responsible for proper removal and disposal of <br />any found hazardous materials in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws, <br />regulations, orders and other requirements. Hazardous materials shall only be removed by <br />approved hazardous material sub-contractor(s). No additional compensation shall be given for <br />disposal of material. <br />The CONTRACTOR shall dispose all solids or semisolids resulting from the cleaning operations <br />from the site at a suitably sanitary landfill site as defined by the Titles 22 and 23 of the California <br />Administrative Code. Under no circumstances will the CONTRACTOR will be allowed to <br />accumulate debris on the site. The Contractor will be allowed to store a debris container in the <br />City Public Works Department corporation yard. The removal and disposal of solids shall be <br />included in the agreed cost. <br />If the CONTRACTOR encounters a surcharging manhole (flow exceeds the diameter of the <br />sewer pipe), the CONTRACTOR shall immediately notify the City Public Works Department at <br />(650-780-7464) and provide information on the cause of the blockage. <br />The CONTRACTOR shall prevent contract operations from causing a stoppage or overflow. In <br />the event of a stoppage or overflow, the CONTRACTOR shall immediately notify the City <br />Public Works Services Department at (650-780-7464). The CONTRACTOR shall remove the <br />stoppage and contain and mitigate the overflow. Overflows shall be mitigated to the City's <br />standards including property damage overflows that shall require cleaning and restoration. All <br />costs for damages occasioned by the overflow are the responsibility of the CONTRACTOR. <br />All water used in conjunction with the cleaning operations shall be metered and paid for by the <br />Contractor. Contractor shall pay an $800 deposit to Cash Collections at City Hall, 1017 <br />Middlefield Road for the construction meter. Monthly service charge will be assessed at the <br />current commercial rate for a 3" meter which is $380.85, in addition to the actual water usage. <br />The receipt of payment shall be taken to the City's Public Works Department, 1400 Broadway, <br />Redwood City, to pick up the water meter. Prior to final inspection, return meter to Public Works <br />Department, who will read the meter and prepare billing for water usage. Lost or damaged <br />meters will require forfeiture of deposits plus cost of meter replacement. <br />CCTV Inspection <br />Within 24 hours of cleaning the line, CONTRACTOR shall thoroughly inspect the sewer lines <br />using CCTV equipment and WinCan version 8.30.0.2090 inspection software. The CCTV <br />camera and monitor shall produce a minimum of 460 horizontal lines of resolution. The CCTV <br />camera shall be a pan -and -tilt with rotating head capable of providing a 360 -degree view of the <br />inside of all pipes, connections, and any pipe defects. Video recording shall be done digitally in <br />full color in order to provide the utmost quality viewing. Images will be in focus and done with <br />adequate lighting to provide a clear view of the entire periphery of the line including any defects <br />while keeping glare to a minimum.
