<br />~L <br /> (08/26/96) <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County <br />~EMENT' made and entered into this ~ day of <br />, 1996, by and between the CITY OF REtWOOD CITY, a municipal <br />/ <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County, a <br />California nonprofit corporation ("Contractor"); <br /> WIT N E SSE T H: <br />WHEREAS, Contractor provides legal services to the poor and disadvantaged of San Mateo <br />County; and <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct the program <br />for residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1996, and ending June 30, <br />1997; and <br />WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and desires to allocate to Contractor the sum of <br />Eight Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($8,000); <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto do hereby agree as follows: <br />1 . FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City shall allocate to Contractor the sum of Eight Thousand <br />and No/100 Dollars ($8,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal year <br />commencing July 1, 1996, and ending June 30, 1997, solely for the purposes described in <br />paragraph 2. <br />2. USE OF FUNDS. Contractor shall use the funds provided pursuant to paragraph 1 <br />solely for the Program purposes described in Exhibit "A" (Contract Objectives) attached hereto <br />and by this reference incorporated herein. <br />3. CHANGES TO PROGRAM. No changes in the Program described in this agreement <br />which are funded by the financial assistance provided under paragraph 1 shall be made without <br />the prior written consent of City. <br />
