EXHIBIT A
CITY OF REDWOOD CITY
MillS-PENINSULA HOSPITAL SENIOR FOCUS
FISCAL YEAR 1995/96
CONTRACT OBJECTIVES
I. The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program aims to enhance the
quality of life of adults 55 and older. This is done by maintaining 850
identifying volunteers opportunities at non-profit agencies so
that the RSVP members can have a sense of accomplishment by
making a worthwhile contribution of their talents to the community.
We also hope to place about 100 new volunteers.
2. It will also give them a sense of belonging and opportunities for
fellowship and social interaction. During the year, 154 RSVP Volunteers
are reimbursed for their travel time.
3. In addition to providing benefits such as travel reimbursements,
supplemental insurance, and job placement, RSVP hosts an annual
recognition event to honor its volunteers, of which 420 attend this event
on a yearly basis.
