<br /> ORIGINAL <br /> (08/25/97) <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> Target Education and Welfare Council, Inc. <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this '2~ day of <br />¥t'-~_, 1997, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and Target Education and Welfare Council, Inc., a <br />California nonprofit organization ("Contractor"); <br /> WIT N E SSE T H: <br />WHEREAS, Contractor provides lunch program for seniors, information and referral, <br />transportation, special programs, health screening, social events, Brown Bag Program, and <br />Thrift shop; and <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct the program <br />for residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1997, and ending June 30, <br />1998; and <br />WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and desires to allocate to Contractor the sum of <br />Thirty Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($30,000); <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto do hereby agree as follows: <br />1 . FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City shall allocate to Contractor the sum of Thirty <br />Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($30,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal <br />year commencing July 1, 1997, and ending June 30, 1998, solely for the purposes described <br />in paragraph 2. <br />2. USE OF FUNDS. Contractor shall use the funds provided pursuant to paragraph 1 <br />solely for the Program purposes described in Exhibit "A" (Contract Objectives) attached hereto <br />and by this reference incorporated herein. <br /> .' <br />
