C. Council Member Foust — stated that the Sequoia Awards, a non - profit <br />association that awards scholarships to Redwood City students based on <br />volunteer efforts, is accepting nominations. The nomination process extends <br />through October 31 and nominations are accepted for student awards for 20 <br />corporate scholarships of $2,000. each. Two scholarships for $5,000. each and <br />one for $10,000. will also be awarded. A nomination process for an outstanding <br />business and an outstanding individual involved in community service is also in <br />place. Nomination forms and more information are available at <br />www.sequoiaawards.org <br />D. Vice Mayor Pierce — stated she had recently attended the Wells Fargo <br />breakfast where funds were distributed and Redwood City 2020 and its partners <br />received a large check that will assist them. As Wells Fargo joins the partnership <br />as a business member, she expressed her appreciation for business members <br />participating in the community and making a difference. <br />10.
