<br />Resources Code Sections 21000, et. seq., and therefore has complied with the environmental review <br /> 0; <br />process under the provisions of CEQA and the State CEQA Guidelines adopted by the Secretary of <br />Resources; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has determined that the project for which the real <br />property described in Exhibit "A" is being acquired is within the scope of the Final Environmental <br />Impact Report and the Addendum To The Environmental Impact Report ("Addendum") and that the <br />Final Environmental Impact Report and the Addendum adequately address and analyze the project for <br />purposes of CEQA; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is a public agency under CEQA (Public Resources <br />Code Section 21063) and as such conducts activities that meet the CEQA definition of a "project" <br />(Public Resources Code Section 21065(a)). The City Council determines and finds that the adoption of <br />a resolution of necessity is not a "project" under Public Resources Code Section 15378 and such <br />activity, therefore, is determined to be exempt from CEQA requirements under Public Resources Code <br />Section 15061(b)(1); and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has determined that all requirements of the California <br />Environment Quality Act and the Public Resources Code have been met; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE IT IS FOUND, DETERMINED AND RESOLVED BY THE CITY <br />COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, as follows: <br />1. The real property and real property interests to be acquired are described in Exhibit "A", <br />attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein. <br />2. The public interest and necessity require the construction of the Public Parking Facility <br />Project, said project being a public use, and the property described in said Exhibit "A" be taken for <br />such public use. <br />3. The public use to which the real property will be put is for public parking facility <br />consisting of a 590 space underground parking garage. <br />4. The property described in this resolution is necessary for the proposed project.
