Item No.- 1 (co nti nued ) <br />Diane Welch, Account Executive of NEC, described her company's bidding <br />procedures and the amount of work dedicated to this project, and her <br />understanding of the requirements of Redwood City and the bidding process. <br />Charles Shafsky explained the cost of wiring all the buildings with new wire <br />or used wire bought from Pacific Bell. <br />In response to questions from Council Assistant City Attorney Richard <br />Schouten provided a definition for "lowest, responsible bidder ". <br />(Vice Mayor LaBerge left the meeting at 7:15 p.m.) <br />In response to questions from Council regarding financial advantages of <br />bidders' packages, Ben Pawloski, Director of Community Development, <br />offered additional information and introduced three slides: Cumulative <br />Costs, Sensitivity Analysis and Present Value Analysis, describing the <br />financial advantages of awarding the bid to the lowest responsible bidder, <br />NEC. <br />Title read.
