Item No. 1 (continued) Housing Coordinator Church referred to the Housing and Human Concerns Committee (HHCC) draft, highlighting the differences between it and the proposed housing element of the General Plan Review Committee as presented in the exhibit attached to the Community Development Director's report of 4/18/88. Planning and Management Consultant Schroeter, said that the HHCC draft is a proposed housing element to be considered in the adoption of the element. He said the Planning Commission is presenting what will lead to the draft Housing Element by July or August which is the draft upon which the Planning Commission wilk hold hearings. The Planning Commission recommendation will then be forwarded to the City Council for hearing and adopt i on . Mr. Schroeter reviewed the considerations of the Planning Commission in drafting the Housing Element. Discussion followed with participation of members of the audience concerning details of the items listed i n the exhibit attached to the Report of 4/18/88; on Council policy; and on the interrelationships of elements of the General Plan. Mayor Greenalch announced that there will be one more meeting on the background to the General Strategic Plan when Land Use will be discussed. In response to comment, City Manager Smith said that development of an economic element has been in the budget for the past two years and is in process, but that it is too soon to provide a calendar for its c o n s i d e r a t i o n . 2.
